About
Acerta was founded in 2017 as a University of Waterloo spinoff to apply machine learning to production data, flagging and predicting defects as cars and components come off the assembly line. Its LinePulse product analyses manufacturing and vehicle data for early failure detection. It raised a roughly US$1.6M seed in 2017 and a US$7M Series A in 2020 led by OMERS Ventures, with M12 (Microsoft), Radical Ventures, StandUp Ventures, Export Development Canada and Techstars participating.
