About
Copper's pitch is that the CRM should be where the work already happens. It plugs into Gmail, Calendar and Drive, so contacts, threads and meetings become records without anyone retyping them. The company positions itself against enterprise CRM rollouts — "built for everyone else: the agencies, the consultants, the account managers whose whole job runs on relationships."
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in San Francisco, Copper reports more than 30,000 companies as customers across over 100 countries and $102M raised in total.
Carrie Shaw was named CEO in December 2022, having joined as Chief Marketing Officer in 2020. She came to Copper from Toronto's Quandl, where she was CMO through its 2018 sale to Nasdaq, and told that alternative-data story on TechTO's FintechTO stage in August 2017. Steve Holm is listed as CEO on Copper's site today.
