About

Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller founded Coursera in 2012 to put university courses online at scale, and it became one of the largest platforms of its kind, selling to individual learners, universities and increasingly to employers. The company merged with Udemy in the second quarter of 2026; second-quarter revenue was $299 million, up 60 percent as reported, and full-year 2026 guidance was raised to between $1.220 billion and $1.245 billion. Across both brands the combined company reports more than 300 million registered learners and over 12,000 enterprise customers, and expects at least $85 million of annual run-rate net synergies from the integration by the end of 2026. It also made a $100 million strategic investment in LearnVector, a new AI-native learning company founded by Ng. Mustafa Furniturewala, in this directory as Coursera's chief technology officer, leads its technology strategy.
