About
eSight's product is a wearable that captures live video and relays it, enhanced and magnified, onto high-resolution screens positioned in front of each eye, restoring functional sight for people with a range of ocular conditions. Speaking at HealthTO in April 2018, Jeffrey Fenton made the case that the technology was not the point — the moments were: a mother who had been legally blind most of her life seeing her newborn, students able to access what sighted classmates could. Gentex had partnered with eSight from 2022 on the fifth-generation eSight Go before acquiring the assets outright.
