Skrumble was founded in Toronto in 2014 by David Lifson and Eric Lifson under parent Nuage Telecom, aiming to unify workplace phone, conferencing, team messaging and file sharing and positioning itself against Slack on productivity. In 2018 the founders launched Skrumble Network, a blockchain communications protocol that raised about C$19 million in a token sale. The core company is now thinly staffed and its current operating status is unclear.
