About
SS Collective is a one-person practice rather than a firm with a staff: Shawna Stewart takes advisory, coaching, facilitation and speaking work "on a selective basis," and describes the job as building the people and operating systems behind high-performing companies — hiring, performance and the operating clarity that lets a team do its work.
The practice sits on top of twelve-plus years spent inside growing technology companies doing that work as an employee. Two of those companies were acquired with her in the room: PostBeyond, and Railz, which FIS Global bought. She advises founders through the DMZ at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she is listed as an expert-in-residence, and counts 15-plus stages, panels and keynotes. An HR playbook is in progress, with publication details still to come.
