About

Sam Youssef and Steph Manos founded Valsoft in Montreal in 2015 to acquire vertical market software companies and keep them — the buy-and-hold model applied to the niche tools a single industry depends on. The portfolio has grown past 150 companies across more than 20 verticals, run through operating groups under Aspire Software, its operational arm; Aspire's travel and leisure group is one such group. Valsoft announced 19 acquisitions in 2024 alone, including the Québec City company Progitek and Montréal's Trendex Information Systems, and reloaded its acquisition capacity with a $216.7 million CAD funding round. Sage Franch, in this directory for a 2019 TechTO talk given as CTO of Crescendo, now leads AI enablement at Valsoft.
