Who is Alice Bentinck?
A co-founder of Entrepreneur First, the talent investor that backs individuals before they have a company, and its CEO. EF's own About page, checked September 13, 2026, lists her as Cofounder and CEO, says she started the firm with Matt Clifford and began her career at McKinsey & Co, and says she lives in San Francisco.
When did she become CEO?
UKTN reported on December 5, 2023 that Clifford was stepping down as chief executive to focus on AI full-time at the firm, and that Bentinck would take over as CEO. UKTN dates the founding of Entrepreneur First to 2011.
What else has she built?
EF's About page says she co-founded the non-profit Code First Girls, which has taught over 250,000 women to code for free, and now sits on its board. It also says she co-wrote How to Be a Founder with Clifford and was awarded an MBE for services to business in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours.
