An Intelex blog post from March 2022 says Linde, the industrial gases business of Union Carbide, asked co-founder Ted Grunau to build a DOS-based system for its environment, health and safety records, and that Grunau and partner Andy Jaine were then given the right to resell it to other companies. Intelex Technologies started in 1992.
