Who is Ariel Garten?
She is a neuroscientist, psychotherapist and entrepreneur who co-founded InteraXon, the Toronto company that makes the Muse brain-sensing headband. She was InteraXon's CEO until 2015 and is now its co-founder and Chief Evangelist Officer.
What is Muse and what does it do?
Muse is InteraXon's brain-sensing headband. Using EEG sensors, it tracks the wearer's brain activity in real time and gives audio feedback, most notably to guide meditation by signalling when the mind is calm versus wandering, and to support sleep.
What does Ariel Garten do at InteraXon today?
After stepping down as CEO in 2015, Garten moved to the board and took on the Chief Evangelist Officer role, representing Muse publicly and keynoting internationally while day-to-day operations are led by the CEO.
