Who is Cato Pastoll?
Co-founder and CEO of Loop Financial in Toronto. He and his co-founders launched it in 2014 as Lending Loop, the first regulated peer-to-peer small business lending platform in Canada, then rebuilt it into a cross-border banking product for businesses.
What happened to Lending Loop?
COVID-era federal loan programs made its lending product largely redundant, so the company pivoted around 2022 to international financial management and rebranded as Loop. In 2023 Merchant Growth became the dedicated financing provider for its small business customers.
What did Cato Pastoll talk about at TechTO?
