Speakeasy allows anyone to create a flash briefing skill and manage and create the content really easily, really simply, without having to know how to program.
What's next for us is adding Google Home support, so hopefully in a few weeks you'll be able to publish your briefing one time on Speakeasy and it'll go to Alexa and it'll go to Google Home.
It's more for any company or any person who is sort of publishing content on a daily or semi-regular basis.

Who is Dan Comand?
The person behind Speakeasy — he introduced it on the TechTO stage in February 2018 as a platform he created, and demoed it with a helper, Kenny, driving the laptop. His current role could not be verified from a first-party source, so none is given here.
What did Speakeasy do?
It let anyone create and manage an Alexa Flash Briefing skill without programming or hiring a developer. A dashboard listed your briefings and when they were scheduled to go out; each one was either text read in Alexa's voice or an MP3 you uploaded, so the briefing could come in your own voice or someone's at your company.
Who was it for?
Anyone publishing content daily or semi-regularly. On stage he pointed out that outlets such as The New York Times, CBC, TSN and Global News already used Flash Briefings to reach their audience, and said Speakeasy could serve a company of that kind or a single blogger who wanted an easy way onto Alexa. Google Home support was the next item on his roadmap.
