He founded ChaiTech, an eight-week Ontario accelerator for Jewish-led and co-led startups, presented by the Ontario Jewish Startup Network with the Schulich School of Business and the Prosserman JCC. He co-founded KixCare but is no longer its chief executive.
What did he argue at TechTO?
That uberizing health care is not the way forward, because it dehumanises care and breaks continuity of both the provider relationship and the record. His model was OpenTable rather than Uber: patients pick a named provider, because people do not want seventeen different therapists.
What happened to MediSeen?
It was a Toronto platform for running home-visit practices, covering booking, records, charting and billing, and it announced a national collaboration with BMO in 2019. There is no press, funding or product activity after 2020 and its domains have lapsed, so it no longer operates.
