I do not work with agencies right now, and I'll tell you why: it's because they're too slow.
Here is the thing: we have moved, and no one is talking about marketing as a cost center anymore. Marketing is now a profit center — so that puts us as marketers in a really big position of power.
Men are more likely to put themselves up for a position that they are less qualified for, because there's some sort of an understanding, some sort of a belief system that says: I deserve this.
