Employers were able to give money to their employees in the wallet and provide services wherever they want — it could be at home, could be at the cottage, could be wherever you are — instead of having like a food basket at the office.
The shape that the work-life balance is different depending on who you're talking to, and we really want to help employees define their own work-life balance so they can shape what makes sense for them.
It is probably overrated, but it is so important to start with the employees. It has to be bottom up.

Who is Farnel Fleurant?
The founder and CEO of Workind, a Montreal employee-benefits platform. Before founding it Fleurant spent years in marketing roles at National Bank, including regional marketing lead and commercial banking marketing partner, and now also speaks and consults on workplace culture.
What does Workind do?
It gives employers a way to hand staff a flexible wellbeing budget rather than a fixed benefits package: a SaaS console plus a personal spending account and an online marketplace, covering everything from prepared meals to cultural activities to caregiver support.
