we're probably one of the largest innovation agency across the whole province. So for us the mandate is mainly supporting Ontario based companies on innovation side.
I'm really looking for the founder who was focusing on the problem, not the solution, because for me it's like solution is not the key, but the pain points is the foundation.
as a woman, as a minority, women of color, so I particularly trying to support a lot of women founders. Half or more of my own portfolio female founders as well.

TechTO's description of the November 2025 Health Toronto fireside calls her Investment Professional at the Ontario Centre of Innovation, and that is the most recent dated source. A University of Toronto event listing for May 2025 gives Director of Commercialization, OCI; U of T listings from April 2023 and November 2024 give Business Development and Commercialization Manager. OCI's own website did not list her on the staff pages checked on 2026-10-18.
What does she invest in?
On the TechTO stage (18:46) she described OCI as one of the largest innovation agencies in the province, with investment funds on one side and granting programs on the other, and said OCI joined Gotcare's seed round. A Movement51 profile (2024-09-20) says she invests through two funds focused on pre-seed and seed-stage companies and that half or more of her portfolio is women-led, a point she repeated on stage (21:04).
What is her background?
A 2023 University of Toronto PRiME speaker bio says she joined OCI in 2018 with over ten years in the Ontario innovation ecosystem, worked across Eastern Ontario and the GTA, and sat on the selection committee of the Capital Angel Network. Movement51 (2024-09-20) adds that she came to Canada about 14 years earlier after finishing school in Europe, has roots in China, and took part in the M51 Investor Lab.
