Who is Frank Wang?
The founder and chief executive of ResearchDB. BetaKit named him that way twice in 2016: on July 12, previewing the first HealthTO as "Frank Wang, CEO and founder of ResearchDB", and again on August 17, reporting that "ResearchDB CEO and founder Frank Wang said there are a few key considerations patients must make before consenting to their data being used".
What did he say on the HealthTO stage?
Introducing himself on the July 20, 2016 panel on privacy and security in healthcare, he said he had spent about ten years building products for hospitals, had recently started ResearchDB — "sort of like an app store for scientists and researchers" — and had also started a fund investing in early-stage companies, so he could speak from enterprise, startup and investor angles.
Why is his archive label different from his name?
TechTO's automatic transcript renders his spoken name as "Shank Qu" and his company as "Research TV". Both are speech-recognition errors. BetaKit's two 2016 reports give the name and company, another panellist refers to him on the recording as Frank, and the other three panellists on that video — Aliya Ramji, Dustin Walper and Grace Castillo-Soyao — are each identified separately.
What does Frank Wang do now?

Checked 2026-09-22: ResearchDB has no live website under any domain spelling we could find and no archived one that names its team, and no mention of the company appears after 2016. Frank Wang is a common name, so nothing has been attributed to him without the ResearchDB tie.
