Quick answers

Did Gary Manning co-found Diply?

Yes. Ivey Business School's alumni magazine Intouch (2016-09-06, by Brenda Bouw) describes Taylor Ablitt as the Ivey graduate "who co-founded the company, along with Western graduate Dean Elkholy and local tech entrepreneur Gary Manning." It adds: "It was after meeting Manning at a conference and bringing him on board that the business model for Diply was fully formed." MaRS Discovery District's bio page for him (marsdd.com/bio/gary-manning, read 2026-10-23) is headed "Gary Manning, Co-founder, Diply". No fetched page gives him a more specific title such as CTO.

What does Gary Manning do now?

Current role not verified. The only page describing him that could be fetched on 2026-10-23 is his undated MaRS bio, which says he "has designed revenue and technology roadmaps, and project managed and commissioned enterprise systems in manufacturing, education, healthcare, military and the media industry" and follows "the digital, ad-tech and technology sector". It does not say whether he is still at Diply, and diply.com lists no leadership. This profile therefore carries only his co-founder title.

What is Diply, and does it still operate?

Diply launched in 2013 in London, Ontario as a social-first publisher, incorporated as GoViral Inc. BetaKit (2017-11-09) reported it first on Deloitte's 2017 Technology Fast 50 with 92,881 per cent growth. CBC News (2018-08-03) reported 40 layoffs across its London, Toronto and New York offices, and The Logic (2018-09-28) a further 35. The domain is live: diply.com, read 2026-10-23, presents Diply as "the operating system behind creator growth", a services business running strategy, production, distribution and monetization for creators such as Tipsy Bartender, with case studies dated to Q2 2026, a creator sign-in at studio.diply.com, and a 2026 copyright notice. It publishes no articles and names no team.

Has Gary Manning spoken at TechTO?

No. Diply's one TechTO stage appearance is by Gabe Dunlop, who led content there and gave the MarketingTO talk "Ideas and Creativity" in February 2019. Co-founders Taylor Ablitt and Dean Elkholy have not spoken at TechTO either. Searches on 2026-10-23 found no interview, podcast or press profile of Manning beyond the Ivey article and MaRS bio.
