Co-founding Nulogy in 2002 and building it into a supply-chain software company used by brands including Colgate-Palmolive, L'Oréal and Mars. He is chief operating officer and has led much of its product direction.
What is “kung fu fiving”?
A voting technique Nulogy adopted for group decisions: ask a question, have everyone hold up zero to five fingers at once, then talk about the spread. Wong's point was that it gets unbiased input from everyone in seconds.
Why did Nulogy need it?
Wong said that by around 2011, past a hundred people, collaboration was breaking down — people felt steamrolled in meetings or avoided working with each other. Two hires brought in a set of techniques that changed how the company made decisions.
