In their words
I'm Max, this is Ivan, and we've built Sherpa, the easiest way to apply for travel visas.
What we found in our research is that it's really difficult to find good information about travel visas. Even once you've found the right visa it's difficult to apply — the process is completely different from country to country.
I drop in my passport and I send it off. It's his problem now. I'm over here having beer and pizza with you guys while usually I'd be standing in line at the embassy.

Quick answers
What does Sherpa do?
It tells travellers what documents they need to cross a border and lets them apply for the visa in the same place. It now sells that as infrastructure to airlines, online travel agencies and travel management companies rather than only direct to travellers.
Who founded Sherpa?
Max Tremaine and Ivan Sharko. Tremaine introduced them both from the stage in 2016 and remains co-founder and CEO.
What did the 2016 TechTO demo show?
A live walkthrough of applying for a 180-day Indian visa: entry requirements in plain language, pre-filled forms, a mailed envelope for the passport, and step-by-step tracking of where the passport was in the embassy process.
