In their words
The difference between top performers and average or low performers is the amount of work and the time you put in. The more at bats you have, the more times you have to hit a home run.
I paid to go to work every day, because I had to pay for my own gas. I wasn't paid until I made a sale.
Anytime I start in a new role, the first thing I think of is: how do I get to my target? If you can't get to your target, you can't do anything else. Then, how do I make real impact and scale in this role?

Quick answers
What does Michelle Oke do at Loopio?
She leads sales as vice president, running the commercial and enterprise sales and business development teams.
How did Michelle Oke get into sales?
By accident. She was set on marketing, did her internships at Pfizer, and sat beside a newly hired VP of sales at employee onboarding who told her she was wasting her time. She shadowed her for the summer and switched.
What separates top sales performers, in her view?
Work, not charisma. She told the TechTO audience that reps who put in more at bats learn faster what resonates, and that resilience from unglamorous selling — she sold Domino's and golf coupons door to door — carries further than a natural pitch.
