Quick answers

What did Nicole Verkindt say on the TechTO stage?

That the round she lost was the making of the company. In June 2017 she described biking to Bay Street daily for six months and being turned down every time, then losing a venture deal after a forty-year industry veteran told the firm defence procurement would never change. Not raising it, she said, kept her in control and forced her close to her customers.

What is OMX?

Offset Market Exchange — a marketplace connecting prime contractors in aerospace and defence with domestic suppliers, and tracking the industrial and regional benefit obligations attached to government contracts. Verkindt started it after being let go from an offshore defence manufacturing business, and later extended it into oil and gas supply chains.

What is Nicole Verkindt doing now?

Not established from a current dated source. She said in a January 2021 interview with Western University's Morrissette programme that she had sold OMX, and a July 2022 announcement of InABuggy's rename to Buggy names her as its incoming chief executive. Nothing later was found for this page, and it does not publish from LinkedIn or contact-data aggregators.
