In their words
My co-founder and I, we move around a lot. I especially, three different countries over the past few years. I noticed how difficult it is for me to meet like-minded people. It takes me four to six months.
The good news is that Delfy launched on the iOS App Store in North America this Monday, so we're really excited to be out there.
One of the strategies we have is to go in front of large groups of people. So we're utilizing our university alumni network, because my co-founder Ozzy and I went to the same university, so we're going to spread the word through there. We're using Instagram marketing, and we're also going to be attending events such as this to get the word out to large groups of people.

What was Delfy?
An iOS app for making friends rather than dates. On the TechVancouver stage in December 2018 (0:10) she described it as "like Tinder for friends": you listed your interests and it surfaced nearby people who shared them, with an AroundMe list and a FriendMatch feed. She said it had launched on the North American iOS App Store that Monday (1:15), with Facebook-only sign-in and no Android build yet (5:17). Her Toptal profile says "Delfy was an app for helping people make friends based on similar interests" and that "the project was eventually shut down due to insufficient funding."
What does Nino Melikidze do now?
She runs Immitracker. Its team page, read 2026-10-21 and carrying a 2026 copyright, lists her as co-founder and CEO alongside Blayne Kumar, co-founder and CSO, and says the Toronto-based company tracks immigration applications for people moving to Canada and Australia. The page adds that she earlier founded VisaWire, "an immigration service marketplace for Canada (which later was merged into Immitracker)." Her Toptal profile dates Immitracker to 2022 and VisaWire to 2021 to 2022. The Off to the Valley podcast introduced her as "co-founder and CEO of Immitracker" in an episode dated 2025-06-18.
Has Nino Melikidze spoken at TechTO?
Not at TechTO. She gave the Demo of the Month at TechVancouver in December 2018 (video published 2018-12-17), a seven-minute demo of Delfy days after its launch, followed by audience questions on Facebook login, monetisation and user acquisition. This directory covers the TechVancouver and TechWaterloo stages alongside TechTO's. Her co-founder Syed Shehroz Hussain, "Ozzy" on stage, was in Boston and did not appear.
