The One Club's board bio, read 2026-10-17, says Meunier and his high school friend Jean-François Bouchard, "fresh out of school and without a portfolio, clients or even any money", decided to start their own agency, Sid Lee. Strategy (2025-02-28) calls him "co-founder and executive creative chairman", and GURU Organic Energy's management circular dated 2026-01-29 opens his director bio with "Philippe Meunier is the co-founder of Sid Lee". Sid Lee's own About page, read 2026-10-17, says that in 1993 two university graduates founded the agency, without naming them. Strategy and Isarta (2025-03-06) both put the founding "33 years ago", which would be 1992; the 1993 date here follows Sid Lee's own page.

Strategy (2025-02-28) reports that he "is stepping away from his role at the company", Isarta (2025-03-06) says he "quitte son poste au sein de l'agence", and Sid Lee's About page, read 2026-10-17, no longer lists him among its leaders. Today the pages that place him are GURU Organic Energy's: its circular dated 2026-01-29 lists him as an independent director (since 2020) and a member of its governance and HR committee, and the company's 2026-03-13 release reports his re-election on 2026-03-12. La Factry's About page still lists him as a co-founder. The circular gives his residence only as "Québec, Canada", and no fetched page names a city, so none is recorded.
