Our vision is to take an old friend, the bicycle, and use it to change the future of urban transportation.
Because we're able to remove the cost of the dock, we can actually offer this at about a dollar an hour, which is significantly more affordable than even the TTC.
It's our philosophy to work with governments as much as we possibly can. I say this to the team a lot: we have to be aggressively friendly.

Who is Qiming Weng?
The founder and chief executive of Drop Mobility, the Toronto company that launched in 2017 as Dropbike. CBC described him at the launch as the 21-year-old founder and chief executive.
What was Dropbike?
A dockless bike share: bikes locked to themselves rather than to a station, unlocked by scanning a QR code and left at any marked bike rack. It started with 100 bikes at the University of Toronto in June 2017.
What does the company do now?
Drop Mobility supplies bike and e-scooter share systems and software to municipalities, campuses and operators across North America, rather than running a consumer service of its own.
