Did Sandeep Todi co-found Truly Financial?
Yes. A FoundersBeta interview published January 5, 2021 introduces Todi as co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Remitr, and in it Todi calls Kanchan Kumar a co-founder. A Virtual Gurus case study published March 29, 2022 names Todi Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Truly Financial.
What is Todi's role today?
Not confirmed. Truly Financial's About page, checked September 24, 2026, lists Kanchan Kumar as Co-founder and CEO in its leadership team and does not list Todi, so this page keeps the title Co-founder.
What did Todi do before Remitr?
The Learning from the Pros podcast page, published by Troy Media outlets on January 30, 2023, says Todi had 30 years in technology and built multi-currency accounting software (FACT), HR and payroll software and B2C communities. International Finance wrote on October 25, 2023 that Todi and Kumar met in 1990 and built accounting software in India.
Where did the idea for Remitr come from?
In the FoundersBeta interview of January 5, 2021, Todi said the founders lost time and fees receiving payments from customers abroad, and that their past work on accounting software for small businesses showed them the same problem was common.
