In their words
We held on to this idea that product market fit should feel like your customer ripping the product out of your hands faster than you can keep up with. Your servers should be on fire, your salespeople should be so busy that you have too many meetings on the calendar — and we really held off on scaling until we did that.
There was 8,000 years between the invention of the axe and the invention of the chainsaw. If you sharpen that axe and you master that axe, it would pay you dividends for 8,000 years. The problem now is that AI technology is being developed so fast that you cannot master something before the next better thing comes out — the chainsaw is going to be invented tomorrow.
Don't give up. That is the number one lesson. Our whole story was just trying a lot of things until it worked. We launched a hundred landing pages until we found product market fit. In our seed round we pitched 80 investors until we got one investor to say yes. When I went to find a co-founder, I messaged a hundred lawyers on LinkedIn. So our whole story is just one of brute force and not giving up.
