Who is Trevor Coleman?
A co-founder of InteraXon, the Toronto company behind the Muse brain-sensing headband. BetaKit's October 2012 report on the Muse Indiegogo launch quoted him as co-founder, and FITC's October 2013 interview introduced him as InteraXon's co-founder and chief product officer. No current role is published here because none could be verified from a first-party source.
What did he do at InteraXon?
MaRS Discovery District's December 2010 release on InteraXon's CES 2011 showcase, a thought-controlled iPad game and a brainwave-enabled 3D TV experience, gave his title as chief operating officer. FITC's October 2013 interview said he oversaw the research, development and finance teams as product manager of the first suite of applications for Muse, which was then due to launch commercially in 2014.
What did he do before InteraXon?
FITC's speaker biography says he produced more than 200 shows in 18 months at The Boat, a bar in Toronto's Kensington Market, and later promoted events at the CiRCA nightclub. It says Ariel Garten, who was looking for a way to commercialize brain-sensing technology, met him during his time at CiRCA. FITC's 2013 interview says he studied cognitive science and trained as an actor.
What did he say about building a consumer brain-sensing device?
In BetaKit's October 2012 launch coverage he said consumers were placing a lot of trust in InteraXon by using a technology they had never experienced, and that the company thought about how to honour that trust at every step of design and development.
