5Crowd was a Toronto-based marketing-production platform co-founded by Bram Warshafsky in February 2014. It helped enterprise marketing and sales departments work with freelancers online to save time and money, curating a global community of remote creatives. On the TechTO stage in early 2015, Warshafsky said the company had completed over 400 projects for nine Fortune 500 customers, with roughly half its own team working remotely, and had not raised outside funding. The company was later acquired by marketing-services firm SGS & Co, which Warshafsky joined through the deal before founding his next startup, Shelfgram.
