About

AlayaCare sells software to the agencies that deliver care in people's homes, covering both non-medical personal support and clinical home health. Founder Adrian Schauer told the TechTO stage in April 2019 that the company had no choice but to be the operating system for its customers: they run their whole business on it, from patient intake through care-plan design, caregiver matching and scheduling, to the 550,000 visits a month then being documented on its mobile app. He returned in July 2020 to argue that COVID-19 had permanently shifted the preferred care setting away from nursing homes and toward the home, and that home care's real constraint is not demand but the supply of frontline workers. In June 2021 AlayaCare raised a $225M Series D led by Generation Investment Management.
