About
Testcontainers lets developers test against a real database, broker or browser instead of a mock, by starting a disposable container per test. AtomicJar was formed in 2021 to commercialize it, and launched Testcontainers Cloud so those containers could run off the developer's laptop. By early 2023 the project had passed 100 million downloads and the company had 23 staff across 10 countries. Docker acquired AtomicJar on 11 December 2023; the team and product now sit inside Docker.
