About

Darren Huston founded BlackPines Capital Partners in Vancouver after leaving the Priceline Group, where he had been group CEO and CEO of Booking.com. The firm states its aim as helping owners and leaders of private and public companies materially improve investment outcomes through deep, committed engagements in a small number of large-scale opportunities. Huston has described running it on a four islands model, a hard cap of four active engagements at a time. Its portfolio spans Allegro, Fora Travel, GameAddik, Magento, Operto, Skyscanner and The Knot Worldwide.

Backers
