About
Certn was founded in 2016 in Victoria, British Columbia, and grew from a seven-person team into an international background-check provider. It raised a $65.1-million CAD Series B in 2022 and a $30-million USD extension from Export Development Canada in 2023. It acquired Australia's InterCheck and Europe's Trustmatic, and later appointed Sarah Miller Wright as president.
