Cloudflare started in 2009 out of Harvard Business School, where Michelle Zatlyn met Matthew Prince. Zatlyn, who grew up in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, was chief operating officer from 2016 until February 2025 and is now president and co-chair of the board. She joined a TechTO session in August 2020 on setting customer expectations as a company scales up-market.
