About
Dayboard was a Vancouver productivity company founded in 2014 by John Chan and Jennifer T.K. Lo. Its main product was a browser new-tab extension that replaced the new-tab page with the user's five most important tasks for the day, nudging focus every time a tab was opened and limiting the list to five to fight overload and procrastination. Chan, a self-taught programmer and former Lighthouse Labs instructor, has said the product started as a project to teach himself to program and became the core business. The Chrome extension reached roughly 19,000 users; it was removed from the Chrome Web Store in May 2021 and the company was wound down. Chan now runs the growth and design consultancy 2x Conversion Design.
