About
Plot's argument is that work has tilted — "We were always busy, but busy used to buy progress" — and that most productivity software makes it worse by asking you to work for the software. Its answer is four narrow tools rather than one platform: Traction, a planner built to run a day from priorities rather than a calendar; Dispatch, a single inbox that surfaces "only conversations waiting on your reply across email, chat, and apps," where you can reply to email and Slack and create issues without switching between them; Curiosity, a learning library for saved material; and Pulse, voice surveys for gathering feedback.
Dispatch is offered on Mac, Windows, iOS, Android and the web, works offline, is keyboard-driven, and ships with team chat included and automations for extending it. As of September 2026 it is behind a waitlist.
Kris Braun founded Plot after a run of product roles — senior product manager at Google, VP engineering at Bonfire, CTO at runQL — and, before those, KidsWifi, the filtered home-internet device he built by buying five thousand existing routers and flashing his own software onto them rather than manufacturing hardware. He took the TechWaterloo stage for KidsWifi in 2017.

Quick answers
What is Plot?
Four separate, deliberately narrow work tools rather than one suite: a planner (Traction), a unified inbox across email, chat and apps (Dispatch), a library for what you save (Curiosity), and voice surveys (Pulse).
Who is behind Plot?
Kris Braun, a Waterloo product builder who was a senior product manager at Google, VP engineering at Bonfire and CTO at runQL, and who earlier founded the home-internet filtering device KidsWifi.
Can I use Plot Dispatch today?
It was still behind a waitlist as of 4 September 2026. The site lists Mac, Windows, iOS, Android and web clients, offline use, a keyboard-driven interface and free team chat.
