About

De.Fi combines two things most crypto users otherwise buy separately: a portfolio tracker that reads positions across chains and protocols, and a security layer that inspects a transaction or token approval before it is signed. The company calls the combination a "SocialFi & Antivirus SuperApp", and reports that De.Fi Antivirus has prevented more than $1.2 billion of user funds from being lost to web3 scams.

It was co-founded by Michael Rosmer in 2020 and operates from Dubai. By 2023 it reported over 5 million users tracking roughly $25 billion in funds. Funding has come in stages: more than $13 million from eleven investors across 2021 and 2022 rounds — including SHIMA Capital, Huobi Ventures, DeFinance Capital, HOF Capital and Fenbushi Capital — plus a $5 million public sale.

Sonali Giovino is Global Head of Ecosystem at De.Fi. She has worked in crypto since 2017; before that she left a Vancouver marketing director job to build events and founded the remote agency Service Angels, the story she told on the TechVancouver stage in January 2019.
