About
Deliverect solves a plumbing problem that got urgent fast: a restaurant taking orders from several delivery apps ends up with a tablet for each, and none of them talk to the till. Its software sits in between, pushing orders from the delivery platforms straight into the point-of-sale. The four founders — Zhong Xu, Jan Hollez, Jelte Vrijhoef and Jerome Laredo — started the company in Ghent in 2018; a $150 million (€132.6 million) Series D in January 2022 took total funding to about $240 million and made it Belgium's first unicorn of the year at a $1.4 billion valuation. It has since passed a billion orders processed. Sarah Richard, a Toronto product manager who presented Carrot Insights and Carrot Rewards at TechTO in 2017 and 2018, now works there.
Backers
About $240 million raised in total; the January 2022 Series D drew investors including Newion, and the round made Deliverect a unicorn.
