About
Eirene sells direct cremation and aquamation without a funeral home. Founder Mallory Greene, whose mother is a hospice nurse and whose father was a funeral director, told the TechTO Together stage in September 2023 that the company had no building to pay for, which is why its price sits at roughly half the Canadian average. It operated in five provinces at the time and was weeks from its first US state; it raised a $4.1M CAD seed round in April 2024 and entered Florida.
