About

Havas Canada is the Canadian operation of Havas, the global communications group founded in Paris in 1835 by Charles-Louis Havas, which now has nearly 23,000 people in over 100 countries. The Canadian business runs on the Havas Village model — creative, digital, media, technology and health working together under one P&L — with units including Havas Media, Havas Creative, Havas CX, Havas Play and Havas Health, plus Havas Montreal. Its Toronto office is at 473 Adelaide Street West. Havas Media Canada is led by president Louise Simkin and expanded its senior team in May 2025. Fil Lourenco was promoted to VP of digital at Havas Media in March 2019, a month before he shared the TechTO MarketingTO stage with Timo Oluschinsky of RB, now Reckitt. Lourenco took the agency half of the talk: he treated digital transformation as three linked problems — the back-end operations behind a customer experience, media moving to one-to-one buying, and being early to a new channel — using Amazon's investment in operations against Target Canada's supply-chain failure as the contrast, and named voice assistants in the home as the wave to plan for next.

Backers
