About
Hired sponsored TechTO in June 2015, and Kerri Jankelow and Lisa Winberg took three minutes of the stage at TELUS House to explain the model: candidates joined a marketplace, employers sent offers with salary attached, and the usual direction of a job application was reversed. The company was founded in 2012 and grew into one of the better-known technology hiring marketplaces of that decade. In November 2020 it was acquired by Vettery, itself owned by the Adecco Group, and in 2021 the two products merged under the Hired brand. The brand has since been absorbed further: as of August 2026 hired.com redirects to LHH, Adecco's talent and career-transition business.
Backers
Venture-backed before the sale, and part of the Adecco Group since the November 2020 acquisition by Vettery.
