About
Francis Dupuis spent more than twenty years running software operations — PayByPhone, Volkswagen Financial Services, Active Network — and built the practice around the part of that work he says came before AI was a tailwind: turning underperforming teams into shipping teams. The site is written as a field manual for operators and sorts visitors by the problem they arrived with: a CEO whose operating model is being rewritten under them, an investor grading portfolio companies on AI readiness, a CPO owing the board an AI strategy, a recruiter looking for fractional operators, a board being staffed. The firm targets mid-size tech companies of 25 to 500 people that are established with a stable customer base, and describes the outcome as decisions moving faster, ideas turning into customer benefits, and measurable gains in efficiency and competitiveness. Dupuis spoke at TechVancouver in November 2017, then as president and CEO of PayByPhone.
