About
#Movethedial was a social enterprise Jodi Kovitz started in Toronto in 2017 to close the gender gap in technology leadership. It grew quickly into a community of thousands, rallied around 120-plus ecosystem leaders, and produced some of the first national data on how few women held founder and executive roles in Canadian tech. Its programming included the #movethedial Stories campaign, a summit, and a pitch series, alongside work with schools and universities to keep girls and women in the pipeline. The organization paused operations in 2020 during the pandemic; Kovitz went on to lead HRPA as CEO and later joined Tangerine.
