About

QoC Health built a platform rather than a single app: hospitals and health organisations used it to take a digital-health idea from prototype to something that could run at scale, with patient monitoring, analytics, patient education, secure communication, decision aids and integration into existing medical records. It was founded in Toronto in 2011 by Chancellor Crawford, John Semple, Sarah Sharpe, Raymond Shih and Randy Ostojic, and counted many of Ontario's largest hospitals as clients along with customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and elsewhere in Canada. It raised $700,000 from Epic Capital Management and Bayshore Healthcare. Logibec — now LGI Healthcare Solutions — announced an asset purchase agreement to acquire QoC Health on 16 March 2021, adding virtual care to its offering. Shih, its co-founder and president, presented at TechTO's HealthTO event in January 2017 on what connected health would need in order to work.

Backers

Epic Capital Management and Bayshore Healthcare invested $700,000. The company was acquired by Logibec, a Novacap-backed health software firm now operating as LGI Healthcare Solutions, in 2021.
