About
RewardStream started in 1999 building custom loyalty programs for large brands, and spent its first twelve years on that work before productising it as refer-a-friend software. Under CEO Rob Goehring it went public on the TSX Venture Exchange as REW and signed brands including Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Envision Financial. Shareholders approved the sale of the referral and reward business in July 2018 and UK-based Buyapowa acquired it. Goehring brought his early-stage lessons to the TechVancouver stage in December 2017, months before the deal closed.
