About

Sterling Smith built RightMatch out of the applicant's side of the problem: he had been filtered out by automated systems and concluded the resume was the wrong first screen. The platform replaces it with a structured, voice-led interview — candidates answer through audio, video and screen recordings — then scores and ranks them against the rubric the hiring team defined, rather than against keyword matches. It integrates with more than 27 applicant tracking systems and works through general assistants including ChatGPT and Claude. The company says it has screened over 600,000 resumes and completed more than 10,000 AI interviews, with its largest customers processing over 40,000 candidates a month, and reports customers cutting time-to-hire by about 70 percent. Smith demoed the product at TechTO's Build & Tell hackathon in June 2024.
