About
Together builds the software behind internal mentoring programs — pairing employees, scheduling the relationship and reporting on whether it worked — for organisations with roughly 500 staff and up. Matthew Reeves and Nathan Goldstein founded it in Toronto in 2019 and went through Y Combinator. Absorb Software, the Calgary learning-platform company, announced its acquisition in December 2024 and runs Together as a business unit with Reeves still leading it. Reeves used the sale as the worked example in his August 2025 TechTO talk on knowing what type of business you are building: a banker-led process, run while the founders still controlled the majority.
Backers
Y Combinator, Altair Capital and TRAC among reported investors; acquired by Absorb Software in December 2024 for undisclosed terms. Reeves has said publicly the company raised under $10M and sold for tens of millions.
