About
VanHack started in 2015 to move software engineers from outside North America into Canadian, US and European jobs, handling sourcing, screening and relocation. It stayed bootstrapped: by late 2021 it reported a community of 250,000 tech workers, roughly 1,000 placements over five years, more than 50 staff and a projected mid-seven-figure annual revenue. Fred Rego, who spoke for the company at TechVancouver in 2018, describes himself as an early COO, board member and investor-shareholder from 2015 to 2018.
