Accounts differ. Index Exchange's about and leadership pages credit Andrew with founding it. AdExchanger's February 2015 profile says it was founded in 2001 by his father Joe Casale, an electrical engineer, with help from Andrew at 15, and Paleo Ad Tech's December 2023 episode describes Andrew starting it as a teenager with his father's help. Index Exchange's team page lists Joe Casale as chairman and managing director.
