In their words
As entrepreneurs we're always asking ourselves, being paranoid: are we over-committing to a bad idea, or are we under-committing to a good one? And in either scenario it's not a good thing.
Within a week our entire industry came to a complete halt. Stopped. Zero revenues overnight, and we refunded everyone — because who needs fan engagement when there are no fans in stadiums?
The idea here is that barriers have two functions: it keeps the outside from coming in, but it also keeps what's inside from venturing out.

Quick answers
What is Anna Hu known for?
Founding zoolife, which streams interactive cameras from accredited zoos, and before that co-founding and running Brizi, the crowd-controlled fan-camera company that worked with sports properties in a dozen countries and renamed itself AMPLIFi in 2024.
What happened to Brizi?
COVID stopped its stadium business dead in March 2020 — zero revenue overnight, as Hu described on the TechTO stage in 2024. The team pivoted to zoo cameras with the Toronto Zoo, spun zoolife out in October 2022, and the original fan-camera business renamed itself AMPLIFi in September 2024 under CEO Sami Dalati.
How many times has Anna Hu spoken at TechTO?
Three times by her own account: 2017 on getting timing right, 2018 on fundraising, and March 2024 on the start of zoolife.
